Overview

New Generation Classics was a shoe line launched by Dutch footwear manufacturer Van Bommel. According to the official history, “Manhattan by Van Bommel,” started by Frans van Bommel in the 1980s, became the line after its name was changed for legal reasons. It offered fashion-oriented shoes distinct from classic Van Bommel shoes. Floris van Bommel was introduced as its successor line in 1996, and the line has since been discontinued. The year the line adopted its new name has not been confirmed.
