North Sails Performance Clothing, the performance-oriented technical line from North Sails, is a range of foul-weather gear and deckwear launched in 2021. The team developed it with the goal of creating “the best foul-weather gear on the planet,” and the designs are shaped by final testing from entrants in the Vendée Globe race. Technical development involves Nigel Musto, a technical sailing apparel designer and director of North Sails Performance Gear. The parent brand, North Sails, was founded by Lowell North in San Diego in 1957.
