Overview

Rocky Mountain Featherbed is a cold-weather apparel brand, including down garments, that originated in 1967 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA. Designed for cowboys working in extremely cold regions, its garments feature an insulating structure like that of a down comforter and a one-piece leather Western yoke. In 1974, the brand also developed a GORE-TEX® mountain parka. After closing temporarily in the late 1980s, it was revived by Thirty-Five Summers in fall 2005 and has since operated under the concept “Made locally, delivered locally.” Its founder was CUB SCHAFFER.
