Sol Amor 1946 is an eyewear brand originating in France. In 1946, Georges Lisac founded SIL (Société Industrielle de Lunterie) and developed optical eyeglass frames as SOL-AMOR’s “solar” line. The brand focuses on prescription eyewear and sunglasses. It is officially stated that around 15 million units were sold between the 1950s and 1970s, and that the brand was stocked by 95% of optical shops in France.
