Weaving since 1723
The Mill is a textile-focused sub-brand developed by AVOCA in County Wicklow, Ireland. In 2009, it was introduced as a new label to refresh a range of products originating from AVOCA’s mill in the village of Wicklow. Against the backdrop of a cooperative weaving mill founded in 1723, the collection includes blankets, throws, scarves, wraps, coats, knitwear, and more. At its core are the craftsmanship of wool spinning, dyeing, and weaving, and the passing down of techniques refined over generations. Today, products are made as the Avoca Mill Collection through the mill in the same location and its in-house design team.

Concept

Today we are proud to continue the tradition of weaving using techniques and skills perfected over generations.

The Mill was developed as a new label to reorganize a range of products originating from the textile mill in County Wicklow, where Avoca began. Unlike fashion lines such as Avoca Anthology, it focused on traditional products rooted in the mill’s expertise, including weaving, wool textiles, blankets, and scarves. It is positioned as a derivative line that supports the brand’s craft foundation and is also connected to the current Avoca Mill Collection.
