adidas SPZL is a footwear and apparel collection line that reinterprets the adidas Originals archive. Following an archival exhibition curated by Gary Aspden in 2013, it launched as a collection in Fall/Winter 2014. Aspden led the project as an adidas archivist and the founder of Spezial, developing products that reconfigure adidas heritage for the present against the backdrop of past sportswear and British football terrace culture.
