Overview

Anvil Recycled is a sustainable recycled cotton-based line offered by the U.S. apparel manufacturer Anvil Knitwear. Announced as scheduled for release in spring 2008, it uses a cotton blend containing pre-consumer recycled cotton generated during the production of other T-shirts. It aims to reduce waste and energy use, saving water and energy by making use of the fibers’ colors and eliminating the dyeing process.

The 2014 ESG report describes efforts to use recycled P.E.T. in Anvil products. Compared with Anvil’s main line, which focuses on ringspun products, it serves to foreground recycled materials.
