ara Motion is the motion line of ara, a shoe brand founded in 1949 in Solingen, Germany, by Paul Röseler and others. Its range of models bridges the gap between sneakers and sports shoes, with a focus on sneakers as well as sandals and slippers. Based on joint research with German Sport University Cologne, the line centers on combining comfort, functionality, and fashion, with rounded heels and sole designs that take into account the distribution of pressure under the foot as its signature features. Introduced as a new model group in the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the line is designed for both everyday use and active settings.
