AU79 is a second line launched in 2013 by Alchimia, a leather brand based in Bologna, Italy. It is rooted in a family-run workshop founded in 1965, with design and production carried out entirely in Bologna. Its range centers on bags and accessories made with calfskin, vachetta, and leather, featuring hand-applied tamponato finishes and contemporary forms. It pays homage to Italian craftsmanship and places importance on tradition and innovation, as well as being 100% Made in Italy. Gabriella Musolesi, a member of the founding family, is said to have designed the line.
