BEHEAVYER is a menswear brand that launched in 2015, originating in Daegu, South Korea. Drawing on the vintage archives accumulated by director Kim Myung-dong, it references garments from the past, including classic, military, outdoor, and sportswear, and reinterprets them into patterns and designs suited to contemporary life. Officially, it projects a contemporary image onto garments from the past made out of necessity and, with “Original” as its motto, aims to evolve them in line with the times while preserving their essence. In addition to direct retail and wholesale in Korea, it is also distributed online in Japan.
Concept
The image of the present era is projected onto the clothes of the past made out of necessity. We present the result of reinterpretation with a patterned silhouette and design suitable for the present life while maintaining historical evidence. We pursue the value that does not change over time in an advanced form while preserving the essence.
