BOWTE is a Japanese fashion brand launched for Spring/Summer 2023 by designer Chigusa Utsuboe. Drawing on around 20 years of design experience at DRAWER and major apparel companies, Utsuboe creates clothing primarily for women, and now also designs menswear, informed by influences from music, art, and culture. The brand is centered on the careful, uncompromising creation of a new standard, combining refined bespoke tailoring techniques and Japanese fabrics with elements of classical menswear tailoring.
Concept
The desire to create things that took shape in childhood, along with the music, art, and culture that have provided inspiration. Using refined bespoke tailoring and Japanese fabrics, and weaving together a range of experiences and ideas, the brand designs new-standard pieces grounded in careful, uncompromising craftsmanship.
