Overview

BURBERRY BLUE LABEL was an original Japan-born label for women, launched in Japan in 1996 by Sanyo Shokai under a licensing agreement with British brand BURBERRY. It developed products for the Japanese market, primarily apparel. Following the end of the licensing agreement between Sanyo Shokai and BURBERRY, the label ended at the end of June 2015, and BLUE LABEL CRESTBRIDGE was launched as its successor.

A Japan-focused local offshoot line centered on women

A local derivative of Burberry developed by Sanyo Shokai for the Japanese market, Blue Lab

A local derivative of Burberry developed by Sanyo Shokai for the Japanese market, Blue Label functioned as a separate label tailored to the needs of Japanese women. It was distinguished from Burberry’s global collections, and under a license with Sanyo Shokai, Blue/Black Labels were organized as a system that did not use the Burberry name. Independent operations ended with the restructuring of the Japanese business in 2015.
