DOUZE is a Japanese contemporary jewelry and bag brand based in Himi, Toyama Prefecture, created by designer Ayumi Jun. After studying furniture making in the woodworking crafts department and training in the craft of making fittings, Jun creates necklaces, brooches, bags, and leather accessories by combining different materials such as leather, porcelain, glass, and wood. Centered on handcraft, the brand develops its work around the concept of “making things that do not stray too far from one’s own hands, and cherishing the connections that pass from hand to hand.” Based at an atelier in Toyama, it also participates in exhibitions and sales events in Japan.
