Ets.MATERIAUX is a Japanese fashion brand that originated from a select shop opened in Shibuya, Tokyo, in 2003 and closed about five years later. In spring 2021, it relaunched as a brand under the direction of Keiji Kaneko, who had been a buyer at the shop. Centered on the history and tradition, quality, and functional beauty of European menswear, it offers everyday clothing that traces the origins of historical garments such as French workwear and military wear. Yuuya Uta and Keigo Murakami are responsible for the designs, guided by the concept of “becoming complete over time, as wear brings comfort,” and the brand proposes clothing designed to be worn for a long time. It has also presented a one-off label for SABA.
