Fransi is a footwear brand and manufacturer founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1936 by Søren Friis and Evelyn Friis. Starting with children’s shoes, it later expanded into women’s footwear and grew into one of Denmark’s leading footwear brands. The second-generation owner, Carl Friis, studied shoe design in Milan, and the third-generation owner, Carsten Friis, launched Billi Bi with his father in 1993. Billi Bi initially began as a sub-brand of Fransi and is now the flagship brand of Fransi A/S. Fransi A/S continues to operate in the footwear industry in Denmark.
