ILBUTTERO is a leather goods line launched in 2018 by KNOX, a Japanese product brand developed by Designphil Inc. It uses Buttero, a vegetable-tanned leather made by the long-established tannery Walpier in Italy’s Tuscany region, and offers business tools centered on ring binders, including pen cases and business card holders. Its core features are a design that opens completely flat despite its large-diameter rings and a construction that makes use of a single piece of leather. The line emphasizes ease of writing and the way the leather changes over time. It is a spin-off line that carries on KNOX’s approach to craftsmanship: “committing to authenticity and passing its qualities down through generations.”
