KAYLE is a Japanese womenswear brand launched in 2020 by designer Chie Kato. Having worked in VMD and PR for domestic apparel brands, Kato develops jackets, shirts, pants, dresses, knitwear, and other pieces around the theme of the duality within women living in contemporary society. The brand name derives from the Greek word “χειρ,” meaning “hand,” and its philosophy centers on the coexistence of delicacy and boldness, strength and softness. With production primarily based in Japan, the brand continues to present collections that reflect its ideas through materials and details.
