KIJIMA TAKAYUKI HIGHLINE is the high-end line of KIJIMA TAKAYUKI, launched for the Fall/Winter 2017 season. Based on haute mode techniques learned by designer Takayuki Kijima, it is hand-finished by artisans at the Daikanyama atelier using rare materials such as beaver and rabbit, along with traditional handwork. Compared with the main collection, it places greater emphasis on the rarity of materials and the care taken in the production process. It is the brand’s highest-tier line, presented through limited orders or in small quantities.

It uses used hats and deadstock materials, reworking and remaking each piece by hand, one at a time, while respecting the background and history of the materials and incorporating environmental considerations into its production. The line is developed mainly through directly operated stores and limited collections, and is positioned as contributing to resource circulation and sustainability.
