ØriginalGrand is a hybrid dress shoe in the “Grand” series offered by US-based Cole Haan, officially described as “The one that started it all.” It first appeared in 2012 and is said to have emerged from a chance meeting between members of the PR department who were passionate about sneakers and a designer who wanted to leave something behind. It combines a dress shoe upper with an athletic sole and features a design inspired by astronauts walking lightly on the moon. The range has expanded to include oxfords, loafers, sneakers, boots, and golf shoes.
