ORTLIEB is an outdoor gear brand founded in 1982 by Hartmut Ortlieb in Nuremberg, Germany. It began by making bicycle pannier bags and now offers bicycle bags, backpacks, travel bags, and other products centered on waterproof bags. The founder made the early products himself, and the company has continued to develop technologies to improve waterproofness. It still develops and manufactures products in Germany, focusing on durability and repairability.
