This is not just fashion
RE;CODE is an upcycling-focused fashion brand launched in Seoul, South Korea, in 2012 by Han Kyung-ae. It dismantles and redesigns surplus inventory and deadstock, reconstructing them as menswear and womenswear, as well as accessories and lifestyle goods. It incorporates leftover fabric scraps, buttons, zippers, and other accessory materials remaining after collection production as details on basic items such as T-shirts and shirts, making upcycling easy to understand while also including one-of-a-kind pieces with no identical designs. It is currently organized on the official website into Outer, Top, Bottom, and Daily Acc categories, with a role distinct from Re;Collection’s made-to-order redesigns and Re;Table’s experiential activities.
