Overview
sacai luck is a diffusion line (equivalent to a pre-collection) derived from sacai, a Japanese fashion brand founded in 1999 by designer Chitose Abe. It began in September 2006 as a lingerie and homewear line, and from Spring/Summer 2010 was developed as a clothing collection for more relaxed settings. It was suspended after Spring 2016 in conjunction with the launch of sacai’s pre-collection, and is currently inactive.

A diffusion line of sacai launched in 2006, centered on lingerie and homewear. It carried forward the main line’s “hybrid” approach, combining knitwear and woven fabrics, as well as sportswear and tailoring, and offered a wardrobe geared toward everyday wear through lightweight materials such as chiffon and silk and layered styling. In 2015, a temporary suspension of sacai luck was announced alongside the introduction of pre-collections, and since then deliveries have been reorganized on the main-line side. Within the group, it served to translate the main line’s experimentalism into everyday clothing.
