Overview
SUBU NANNEN is a flame-retardant series for outdoor use introduced in 2021 by SUBU, a Japanese winter sandal brand. It uses flame-retardant CORDURA®305D material for the upper and is designed for use in settings where sparks are expected, such as around a bonfire or at a campsite. The line features slip-on winter sandals with brushed lining and a four-layer insole, providing warmth and a comfortable fit even when worn barefoot.

Within SUBU’s lineup, this outdoor-oriented derivative line is designed for use near fires, such as while camping, and uses flame-retardant CORDURA® material for the outer fabric. By adding a removable heel belt that secures the heel, it enhances hold and practicality outdoors while retaining the ease characteristic of SUBU’s “winter sandals.” Compared with the standard ORIGINALS line, it occupies a function-focused position clearly oriented toward outdoor use.
