Overview

SWAMPGOD is an upcycling project started by Arturo Boem in Venice, Italy, during the 2020 lockdown. Focusing on workwear staples such as pants and jackets, he upcycled cut-off materials and deadstock items, sharing his work on social media. In collaboration with Rick Owens, he designed and produced all 19 capsule collections himself, comprising more than 1,000 pieces. The collaboration ended in June 2022, after which he continued creating “1/1” capsule pieces centered on the reuse of factory cut-off materials, deadstock clothing, and metal components. The designs are said to be made in a space converted from a 16th-century church, and sales continue on the official website.
