UVION STAR is a series of lightweight folding umbrellas for both sun and rain, derived from UVION, developed by Tokyo Marusou Co., Ltd., founded in 1949. The umbrellas use Toray’s carbon fiber “TORAYCA®” for the ribs, with a design that combines lightness and durability. They feature an “Easy, Considerate Open-and-Close” reverse-opening mechanism, which closes with the wet side facing inward and allows the umbrella to be opened and closed by moving the runner up and down without folding the ribs. Available in sizes including 53 cm and 58 cm, the series focuses on portability and ease of use in rainy weather.
