Vionnet Demi-Couture is a demi-couture line officially launched by Maison Vionnet. In January 2014, Goga Ashkenazi, then owner and director, appointed designer Hussein Chalayan and announced the line, presenting its collection during Paris Haute Couture Week. Demi-couture occupies a price range and production process between haute couture and ready-to-wear, with pieces made using made-to-measure services and high-level tailoring techniques distributed in limited quantities. The line’s previous operations were temporarily suspended following a business restructuring (voluntary liquidation) in 2018, but after a transfer of ownership and reorganization, the brand is preparing to relaunch.
