ADAWAS is a knit-focused fashion brand launched in 2008, drawing on the heritage of Sawada Co., Ltd., a Japanese knitwear manufacturer established in 1969. Designer Keiko Nagata creates everyday wear inspired by travel and architecture, making use of the qualities and textures of the materials. The brand focuses on mixing knits with other materials and developing original yarns and materials, and aims to create clothing that highlights the individuality of the wearer and can be worn for a long time. Starting with an exhibition in Düsseldorf in 2008, it expanded overseas, including to Europe, and continues to present collections.
