Based in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, EL Canek is a Japanese unisex denim brand led by Masayuki Kanatani. Established in 2015, it produces jeans and indigo wear, along with shirts, jackets, coveralls, and other items, domestically and by hand. Building on Kanatani’s experience making jeans since 1996, the brand uses vintage sewing machines and follows a design philosophy that is simple, minimal, and functional. Centered on a fusion of vintage casual, workwear, and military styles, it offers denim that develops individuality and a sense of attachment over time.
