PIEDATERRE was born in 1952 in Venice, Italy, as a specialist brand of “Friulane,” brought to life by a merchant who carried handmade slippers to the Rialto Bridge. Still based in Venice, it focuses on Venetian slippers, which are handcrafted in the homes of a community of artisans. While preserving tradition, the brand places at its core craftsmanship such as slip-resistant soles suited to walking around the city and hand-stitched soles, and upholds its commitment to being 100% made in Italy.
