SEOU is a series of backpacks and bags developed under IKUTA KABAN, an adult bag brand launched in 2020 by Ikuta Co., Ltd., a randoseru manufacturer based in Ikuno-ku, Osaka, founded in 1950. It draws on the company’s expertise in backpack construction, developed through randoseru manufacturing, and the handwork of its artisans. The lineup includes square bags, flap bags, and backpacks made with domestically produced vegetable-tanned leather from a tannery in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. Its official concept is “Layers of Time / Connecting Stories,” and its approach to making is centered on creating items that accumulate their owners’ time and memories through long-term use. The initial product designs were created by 孫銘吉.

In the official product lineup, it is positioned as the line most directly responsible for the experience of carrying bags on one’s back and for genuine-leather backpacks, in contrast to MOTSU, which centers on tote bags, and COMONO, which covers leather goods such as wallets and business card holders.
