Overview

VALISERE by Triumph is Triumph’s premium lingerie line, rooted in Valisere, founded in Grenoble, France, in 1913 by Valerian Perrin and Alphonse Douillet. Triumph acquired Valisere in 1990 and developed it as luxury lingerie. In Japan, the line was renamed from “ESSENCE by Triumph,” which had been offered since 2013, in spring/summer 2019, and offered bras, panties, bodysuits, and other items. Its concept was “LOVE OF DETAIL,” with an emphasis on attention to detail, craftsmanship, and fit. No official collections in Japan have been confirmed since spring/summer 2020.

VALISERE by Triumph was a premium fashion lingerie label offered by Triumph in Japan. It was launched in Japan in 2013 and was characterized by attention to detail and craftsmanship, a body-contouring fit, fashion-forward designs, and features such as embroidery and layering. For the Spring/Summer 2019 season, it was renamed from ESSENCE by Triumph following the end of the license for the brand name. While carrying forward its existing concept and designs, its positioning was clarified as a premium line unique to Triumph. Unlike GOLD LABEL, RED LABEL, and FLORALE, which are part of Triumph’s current premium category, VALISERE was a derivative label that had previously covered the fashion-focused lingerie segment.
