Overview

Tagline

The more you walk, the more your body changes. That’s CoJOJO footwear.
CoJOJO is a Japanese footwear brand created by Seiji Naito, fifth-generation head of Naito, a long-established footwear maker in Gion, Kyoto. Its predecessor, Yubimata Kappo, was launched in March 2021 and renamed CoJOJO following a rebranding in 2025. The brand offers training sandals characterized by a thong strap and no heel, designed to encourage walking that engages the toes. Guided by the idea of “from footwear for walking to footwear for ‘conditioning,’” the brand focuses on approaches to proper posture and body movement.

Concept

From footwear for walking to footwear for “conditioning.”

Within the JOJO Naitou (now OJOJO NAITŌ) brand family, CoJOJO is a derivative line developed with a focus on health and walking function. It is positioned as a renamed and reorganized version of the former brand “KAPPO.” Unlike the regular OJOJO 01 and 02, its heel-free construction encourages walking by engaging the toes. While OJOJO’s standard sandals are offered as everyday footwear, CoJOJO is treated as a line that foregrounds functional proposals related to posture and body movement.
