Make haste slowly
festinalente began in 2015 as a select shop in Jimbocho, Tokyo, offering vintage clothing, books, and products. It operated in Tokyo from May 2015 to December 2019, then opened an online store after moving with the family to northern Japan in January 2020. In September 2021, it opened a shop and warehouse on Komise-dori in Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture, selling vintage clothing and antiques sourced in Japan and abroad. The shop’s name means “make haste slowly” in Latin. In April 2025, it also opened a second select shop in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture.
