HARDY NOIR is a Japanese womenswear brand that emerged from “Startup Camp,” Baycrew’s Group’s internal new-business proposal program, and debuted in October 2016. Starting with proposals by Eriko Kato and Ayako Okuzawa, the brand offers one-piece dresses, coordinated sets, dresses, jackets, and other pieces centered on black. With “Black makes women beautiful” as its guiding phrase, it presents black clothing for a range of occasions, from everyday wear to formal events, including weddings and funerals.
