Overview

Ko & Co was a ready-to-wear brand and company founded in Limoges, France, in 1968 by Jeanne-Blanche de Castelbajac and her son, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Jean-Charles was responsible for design and developed methods of repurposing existing materials, such as boarding school blankets, mops, and sponges, into clothing, a practice regarded as pioneering in upcycling. The brand held its first show in 1969 and focused mainly on womenswear. The company closed in 1999 and was deregistered in 2004.
