KODORI is a footwear brand/series launched in 2021 by ない藤, a long-established footwear atelier in Gion, Kyoto, following JOJO. Created by Seiji Naito, the fifth-generation head of Gion ない藤 and a craftsperson-merchant, it offers wedge-soled footwear that connects Japan’s zōri-based footwear culture with contemporary life. Its designs can be worn with both Japanese and Western clothing and feature a traditional construction comprising a base, hanao straps and toe posts, along with repairable and replaceable parts. The brand’s proposals are centered on practicality and the beauty of use. The name derives from the Japanese expression for a little dance.

Within the brand family extending from JOJO Naitou to the current OJOJO NAITŌ, KODORI is a distinct wedge-sole collection. While the standard OJOJO range centers on flat constructions based on zori sandals and flip-flops, KODORI uses a thick sole and platform shape, with a stronger fashion focus that allows it to be paired with both kimono and Western clothing. With a silhouette and uses that differ from the standard models, it is positioned as a derivative line on a separate axis that broadens the OJOJO lineup.
