Overview

Peace and After is a streetwear brand and design team from Japan. It began operating online in 2019 and is based in Tokyo, focusing mainly on T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories. Centered on street culture, it develops graphic products that mix history and culture from different eras and regions with subcultures such as the internet and gaming, and has collaborated extensively with artists in Japan and abroad, as well as with anime and games. In 2023, it opened the concept store CAPSULE in Nakameguro. (Source:)

Concept

A design team and brand that take street culture as their foundation, blending different histories and cultures from across eras and regions and translating them into creative work. Through the brand’s perspective, slightly incongruous images—such as depictions of Japan in foreign films—are transformed into pop and refined designs. The team also produces many designs inspired by internet culture, which has strongly influenced its members, and subcultures such as gaming; graphics that evoke a sense of nostalgia are another aspect of its work.
