Knitwear house since 1852
Rodier is a French textile and knitwear brand founded in 1852 by Auguste Rodier in Picardy, northern France. It developed as a fabric manufacturer for luxury clothing, with jersey as its signature material, and began offering ready-to-wear in 1956. In 1916, it was involved in the use of jersey for clothing through its work with Gabrielle Chanel, and in the 1960s it also became known for twinsets. Today, its collections focus mainly on womenswear and include knitwear, cashmere, twinsets, coats, and accessories; it also offers menswear. Its core is a style that “expresses individuality without leaning toward the eccentric,” alongside an emphasis on comfort and durability.
