Overview

SUICOKE is a Japanese footwear brand launched in Tokyo in 2006. Focusing on sandals, it develops products centered on functionality, including its original footbed design and soles jointly developed with Vibram. It is said to have initially worked on accessories and hand-painted Russian dolls (matryoshka), before later moving into footwear. The founder is described as anonymous, and the brand makes products based on the concept of “making only the things we truly want and want to own.”

  • SUICOKE ECO LINE 2022

SUICOKE ECO LINE is a sub-line established to reduce the environmental impact of materials while inheriting SUICOKE’s functional design. It uses recycled PET and recycled nylon for nylon tape, sewing thread, and labels; a sugarcane-derived bio-based material for the footbed; and Vibram ECOSTEP EVO for the outsole, which contains a minimum of 30% recycled rubber. While primarily offering ECO versions of existing models centered on sandals, it also extends environmentally considered specifications into shoes and boots, serving a role in material-based sustainability while maintaining the parent brand’s comfort and functionality.

An environmentally conscious line centered on sandals.
