Overview

doublet is a fashion brand launched in Japan in 2012 by designer Masayuki Ino together with patternmaker Takashi Murakami. Based on basic, standard items, it incorporates unexpected ideas under the concept of “everyday wear with a sense of incongruity,” and offers clothing, shoes, bags, hats, and accessories. In 2018, it won the Grand Prize at the LVMH Prize, and held its first presentation at Paris Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2020.

doublet KID'S is a capsule line derived for children that doublet announced in 2022. It launched a total of 10 styles from the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, reworked in children's sizes, and was primarily distributed through Dover Street Market Ginza and a tour of pop-ups at multiple stores in Japan. The line retained the graphics and embroidery of the adult collection while adjusting dimensions and specifications for children, positioning it as a limited project that extended the parent brand's designs into the children's market. Examples of distribution through select shops and online retailers overseas have also been confirmed.
