Overview

LASEE was a Japanese intimate apparel brand for women developed by Wacoal. It launched in 1996 as a brand for middle-aged women and was refreshed from “Lavieze” to “LASEE” in spring 2009. Targeting primarily women aged 40 and over, it offered intimate apparel such as bras designed with consideration for changes in body shape and constitution. With “Comfortably, beautifully” as its concept, the brand created products to support beauty on one’s own terms. The brand ended with the 2024 Spring/Summer season, and the functions and style of some products were carried over to Wacoal’s product range.

A discontinued line focused on functions suited to changes in body shape

LASEE was a sub-line within Wacoal’s innerwear range that offered functional products desi

LASEE was a sub-line within Wacoal’s innerwear range that offered functional products designed with changes in body shape and wearing experience in mind. Unlike Salute, which foregrounded decorative designs, and PARFAGE, which was characterized by delicate lace, it focused on fit tailored to the body and comfort when worn. It had a distinct position from other lingerie brands as a line that applied Wacoal’s accumulated design expertise, based on research into women’s bodies, to products for people attentive to changes in body shape. The line ended with the Spring/Summer 2024 season, and some products have continued under the Wacoal brand.
