BACK, I MISSED YOU.
NUMBER (N)INE is a Japanese fashion brand founded by designer Takahiro Miyashita in 1996. It opened a shop in Omotesando in April 1997 and developed T-shirts, denim, and other items centered on rock-inspired casual wear, with “things that suit Tokyo” as its basic theme. It had several lines, including the jeans line n(n) and the T-shirt collection shambles, and disbanded after 2009-2010 A/W. In its new iteration, “The new iteration will be no archive rehash.” Its signature message is “BACK, I MISSED YOU.”

n(n) BY NUMBER (N)INE was a basic line derived from NUMBER (N)INE in 2007, with a range spanning denim, cut-and-sew items, and sneakers. The current official online store treats it as a label alongside NUMBER (N)INE. In contrast to the main line’s experimental approach, it is positioned as offering a more everyday wardrobe.
