rebear by Johnbull is an upcycling project launched in 2018 by JOHNBULL, a denim manufacturer based in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. It uses deadstock, archive items, vintage items, and other materials to remake products, secondhand clothing, and leftover fabric by hand from a sustainability perspective. Each piece in the patchwork series is one of a kind, as the makers join the fabrics together. As a project with a long-term commitment to the SDGs, JOHNBULL will continue to turn new ideas into reality.
Concept
From a sustainability perspective, the project remakes products, secondhand clothing, and leftover fabric by hand, transforming items it has created into things that can be consumed again. Each piece in the patchwork series is one of a kind, as the makers join the fabrics together while creating each item individually.
