Fabric, Fit, Finish × the spirit of today
WHEIR Bobson is a Japanese fashion denim brand launched in 2016 by Kishi Universe, building on BOBSON, a long-established denim brand from Okayama. It offers men’s and women’s collections centered on denim, combining BOBSON’s craftsmanship and quality with contemporary design. Guided by “FABRIC・FIT・FINISH × the spirit of today,” the brand pursued the possibilities of denim. In its first year, Seishin Matsui of SISE was responsible for design; from Spring/Summer 2017, Takayuki Chino of CINOH designed the women’s collections, while guest designers were engaged for the men’s collections. In 2023, the official online store was revamped as WHEIR TOKYO, and the brand is currently presented under the name WHEIR.

WHEIR Bobson is a fashion denim brand launched in 2016 by BOBSON and Kishi Universe. It served to connect BOBSON’s trademarks and denim technologies with contemporary street fashion. Centered on denim, it combines material design, fit, and finishing techniques to offer a design approach distinct from conventional basic jeans. In contrast to Thomaston and TOO-TOO, which were developed for women in different age groups, MM-8, centered on casualwear, and BOBSON GENOESE, which foregrounded finishing techniques, it is a line that strongly emphasizes fashion and a designer’s perspective.
