GUCCI is a luxury maison founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence, Italy, in 1921. Its offerings span leather goods, RTW (ready-to-wear), shoes, accessories, jewelry and watches, and beauty. It is currently part of Kering. Its codes include bamboo, the Horsebit, the GG monogram, the Web stripe, and Flora.
Sub-brands

Gucci Eyewear 1921
An eyewear sub-line that reflects Gucci’s design codes while being developed and supplied under the lead of a specialized platform. Operationally, Kering’s eyewear business (Kering Eyewear) has been central, with an ongoing arrangement involving collaboration with Safilo for manufacturing and supply. Unlike in-house products in RTW and leather goods, it is characterized by being developed in line with optical distribution and functional standards. Among category extensions alongside beauty and décor, it is positioned as an accessory used frequently in everyday life that broadens the point of entry for customers.

-
Gucci Décor 2017
A sub-line in the home category that extends the use of prints and motifs developed through seasonal fashion proposals to products for living spaces, including furniture, tableware, and wallpaper. Launched in 2017 as Gucci Décor, it has reinforced the brand’s lifestyle offering while also connecting with store presentation and gifting contexts. If beauty and eyewear represent an “extension to wear,” Décor takes on the role of an “extension placed in a space,” and is positioned in connection with crafts categories such as Ginori 1735 (formerly Richard Ginori).

Gucci Beauty 2019
A sub-line that translates the world of Gucci’s core business (RTW/leather goods) into beauty categories such as fragrance and makeup, expanding its points of contact. Coty develops and manufactures fragrances under license, and in 2019 makeup was relaunched in earnest under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele. Like eyewear and décor, it represents a facet of category expansion; however, the partnership between Kering and L’Oréal points to a change in structure after the current agreement (through 2028).

Vault by Gucci 2021
Launched in 2021 in the context of the centenary, it is an experimental platform operating separately from the main collection. In addition to curating and selling restored and refurbished vintage and archive pieces, it has served as a platform for capsules by emerging designers and external collaborations. In recent years, it has developed circular initiatives that make use of dormant stock and archive materials, such as Gucci Continuum, and has taken on the role of implementing experiments that are difficult to pursue in mass-production lines. It is positioned as an “alternative route” connecting Gucci’s past assets to current product planning, with a purpose distinct from those of other sub-lines such as Beauty, Décor, and Eyewear.
